FirstClass Unified Communications
FirstClass is the first system to combine groupware with comprehensive support for telephony, voice and fax. With the FirstClass voice option, you can use any phone to access information in FirstClass, even your email. And, through our integration technology, you can even use FirstClass to replace your existing proprietary voice mail systems.
How does Voice Access Work with FirstClass?
Using FirstClass voice access, your email is accessible from any phone in the world. Simply use the phone to call the FirstClass server, and FirstClass will read your messages to you over the phone. Plus, since you are connected to the powerful FirstClass server, you can create, delete, reply, and even forward a message. Through the power of the FirstClass single-message architecture, messages you read from the phone are retained for future access.
Use FirstClass to Replace Proprietary Voice Mail Systems
With FirstClass Voice Services, your organization can bring the power of FirstClass to the world of voice mail. Instead of voice mail being trapped in expensive, proprietary voice mail systems, FirstClass can be programmed to automatically take your voice mail and put it right into your FirstClass mailbox. How? Whenever a FirstClass user is on the phone or unable to answer, the call is routed to FirstClass which will then record the message. Since FirstClass knows exactly who the message is for and who it is from, it is able to apply user's preferences and greetings rules, allowing custom greetings based on time of day, caller ID, or phone number. FirstClass will even sense if the caller is a fax machine, and will receive the fax.
All of the voice and fax messages are stored in the user's mailbox, so that they can be accessed at any time, from anywhere, using any client. The system may also optionally activate the Message Waiting Indicator on the user's phone. ~Based on user preference, the message receipt can also trigger a pager or SMS message to notify the user of the new message.
Manage Your Messages
Since all messages, including voice and fax, are in the same FirstClass mailbox, users are able to use their preferred client to manage, file, sort and search their messages. This is very powerful and important in any environment which demands thorough records of external communication (e.g. medical, education, financial).
General Hardware/Software Requirements
FirstClass voice services requires a server-class Windows machine, as well as a telephony interface card. Contact FirstClass sales for further information on your particular application.
